Hidden Springs Swim Club (HSSC) Stingrays

Since 2006, the Hidden Springs Swim Club (HSSC) Stingrays have welcomed hundreds of local children into a fun, supportive, and successful swim program. Our swimmers build strong swim skills, lasting friendships, confidence, and important life skills in the water—and they have a great time doing it. Many of our athletes enjoy the program so much that they go on to compete on high school and club teams.

The HSSC Stingrays operate independently, with support from the Hidden Springs Town Association, and guided by a dedicated Board of Directors.

The Season

The Stingrays season runs from early June through the end of July at the South Meadow Pool.

Practice Schedule

  • Four days per week
  • One-hour sessions
  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Swimmers are assessed at the start of the season with a 25‑yard swim using an approved stroke. Based on skill level, swimmers are placed into age-appropriate training groups, with adjustments made as needed throughout the season.

As members of the Four Rivers Swim League, the Stingrays compete in four swim meets each season, including one hosted by Hidden Springs. The season concludes with a league championship meet.

The season wraps with a swim party at the South Meadow Pool to celebrate the swimmers and their accomplishments.

Coaching

Head Coach: Whitney

Coach Whitney is the heart of our swim program. She brings energy, skill, and strong values to the pool deck, earning the trust and appreciation of swimmers, parents, and the Board alike. Her experience, positive leadership style, and commitment to our athletes help ensure a fun, motivating, and successful season for all Stingray families.

A Word from Coach Whitney

“As a lifelong swimmer and former collegiate athlete, I bring a deep passion for the sport to my role as a swim team coach. With years of experience both in the pool and on the deck, I am dedicated to fostering a positive and competitive environment where swimmers can reach their full potential. My coaching philosophy emphasizes technique refinement, mental toughness, and teamwork, with the goal of developing well-rounded athletes both in and out of the water.”

Coach Whitney is supported by two to four advanced teen swimmers who serve as assistant coaches. These assistants help with communication, drill oversight, swimmer assessment, and general guidance. Assistant coaches are typically hired from within the Hidden Springs community.

Registration

Team registration is limited to 125 swimmers from Hidden Springs. If space is available, remaining spots are offered to swimmers from the Cartwright Ranch community.
