Old Time Farm Days

 

DRY CREEK HISTORICAL SOCIETY/OLD TIME FARM DAY – Sunday Oct 7th from 12-4 pm

  • Looking for a fun, educational activity for kids and parents alike this fall? Check out Old Time Farm Days at the Schick-Ostolasa Farmstead (5006 W. Farm Court) Sunday October 7th from 12 – 4 pm.
  • Get a glimpse of Idaho life in the 1860’s while watching the Idaho Woodcarvers Guild and the Dry Creek Quilters practice their crafts. Children can pan for gold, play yard games and fun activities just as like in the 1860’s!
  • The Fort Boise Garrison Living History Volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate early Idaho life in period costume and arms. Smarty Pants actors will be performing as historical characters from the Farmstead’s history.
  • Come early to get in on the silent and dessert auctions.
  • Music will be provided by the False Bottom Band. Food available for purchase from the Basque Market and The Dry Creek Mercantile.
  • Admission is: $5 per person or $20 per family and children under 3 years are free. Proceeds go to support and restore The Farmstead, which is owned by Ada County and managed by the Dry Creek Historical Society.
