Tree Project Update - October 12, 2016
Monday, January 30, 2017

The Town Council would like to take this opportunity to provide the community with a second tree update before the end of the year.

It is now apparent that salts and chlorides present in the irrigation water (as a result of regenerative soft water systems and by-products of the sewage treatment process) played a significant role in the esthetics and health of the Autumn Blaze Maples along Hidden Springs Dr., Poplar, 10th and other street strips adjacent to common space.  Where fiscally responsible to do so, irrigation was converted from effluent to Suez (formerly United) water.  Despite the costly investment, this decision saved the community money and improved the health of 279 trees. Council is currently researching replacement options.
