Backflow Testing?
Monday, March 30, 2015

Did you receive a letter at your door over the weekend regarding Backflow Testing?

Do you have a sprinkler system at your home?  If you do, you need to get your backflow system annually tested to prevent possible contamination of your drinking water.  State law requires sprinkler systems have what’s called a backflow prevention assembly.  These assemblies prevent the accidental mixing of untreated irrigation water with the domestic drinking water supply.

Questions regarding required testing?  Visit United Water's website, Backflow Prevention.

Just a reminder to residents that “No Parking” means “No Parking.”  Per the Ada County Zoning Ordinance, signs are posted through-out the community for public safety.  In the event of an emergency, police, fire and ambulance require public street access.  On street parking in a “No Parking” zone has the potential to hinder an emergency vehicle’s ability to move along the roadway.

Idaho Code prohibits parking within 15’ of a fire hydrant, in front of a public or private driveway in a street or alley, on the wrong side of the street facing oncoming traffic…for more, please visit the Hidden Springs website where we have posted “No Parking Signs” from ACHD FAQ’s.

Chuckar Butte Trail and Parking
Tuesday, March 17, 2015

In July 2014 the City of Boise was granted an easement for public trails across land owned by the Grossman Company – the original developers of Hidden Springs.  The proposed Chuckar Butte Trail is intended to connect to the public trails within Hidden Springs, allowing residents to travel beyond the boundaries of Hidden Springs to the Daniels Creek trails and beyond.  Community feedback was solicited regarding trail location and how to minimize impact to the existing residents from the new trails and associated vehicle parking that will likely accompany the new use.    To review the proposal recommended and approved by Town Council to present to residents for a 30 day comment period, CLICK HERE.  If you would like to respond to the proposal, please email the HSTA office at hsta@hiddensprings.com.
