DCHS Wins Awards!
DCHS is the 2009 winner of the Albert B. Corey Award for excellence
in local historical endeavor.
This is the first time an organization in Idaho has won this prestigious award from
the American Association for State and Local History.
Idaho Governor Butch Otter proclaimed September 17, 2009 as
Idaho Schick-Ostolasa Farmstead Day
in recognition of DCHS’s work in preserving Idaho history.
DCHS is a 2007 winner of the Orchid Award for Cultural Heritage Preservation
from Preservation Idaho for educational programs and projects that have made a positive impact on the preservation
of cultural heritage and open spaces.
The Farmstead has been designated an Ada County Treasure
by the Ada County Historic Preservation Council.
